What is the new Outlook, and should I toggle to ‘try the new Outlook’?

 

Microsoft are currently rolling out a new version of Outlook with an updated user experience. Students and colleagues are welcome to begin exploring the new version of Outlook, but for now this remains an ‘opt-in’ experience and there is no requirement for users to toggle. 

There is limited feature parity between the versions, and you may find some features are not available if you try the new Outlook. Check out Microsoft’s feature comparison list. 

Once you have switched to the new Outlook, you can use the toggle again to return to the Outlook (classic) experience as required.
