I declare that, to the best of my knowledge, the information I have given is correct. I confirm that I have read and understood the regulations, policies and codes of practice of Royal Holloway, University of London (hereafter referred to as ‘the College’) as stated on the Online Student Handbook and agree to abide by them. I understand that I am enrolling under the current academic and non-academic regulations for the academic year and that these may be updated on an annual basis.

I understand that these matters are important and that I may have my registration with the College suspended or terminated, or have other sanctions imposed if I breach them.

I understand that if I do not complete all elements of my enrolment by the deadline (see below) I will be denied access to teaching and learning resources and other College facilities.

I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to notify the College in writing if I choose not to, or am unable to, continue with my studies.

I understand that I may not be concurrently registered for more than one programme of study at the College and another education institution, either in the UK or abroad, unless special permission is granted. The only exception to this is a Visiting Student, who would be registered with both the College and their home institution.

I understand that if, as any part of my course of study, I receive tuition or services from a partner institution of the College, I will, as a condition of use and for the duration of this tuition or services, also be subject to the terms and conditions of that partner institution.

I understand that it is my responsibility to have valid and up-to-date documentation to prove my right to study in the UK before enrolment and throughout my registration at the College or a partner institution and to present it to the College on request. I understand that failure to provide this documentation by the deadline given may result in my record with the College being closed.

I understand that it is my responsibility to keep my contact details on the student portal Campus Connect up-to-date throughout my time here at the College.

I understand that enrolment and attendance requirements apply to me. I understand that failure to comply with these requirements may result in my registration with the College being terminated.

I understand that specific enrolment and attendance requirements apply to me if I have entered the United Kingdom on a Tier 4 Student Visa, as set out and updated from time to time by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI). I understand that failure to comply with these rules may result in Royal Holloway reporting this to UKVI who will cancel my visa, meaning I would be required to leave the UK and my record with the College being closed.

I understand that if it is agreed that I can enrol on the basis of a valid visa application, I am enrolling at my own risk and pending the outcome of my application, the College may have to suspend or terminate my studies and my student record may be closed.

I understand that the College has legal obligations in respect of UKVI rules and that certain changes to my circumstances or other information must be reported to UKVI.

I understand that it is my responsibility to have a valid and up-to-date visa and passport before enrolment and throughout my registration at the College or a partner institution and that I must present these documents to the College on request. I understand that failure to provide these documents by the deadline given may result in my record with the College being closed.

I understand that it is my responsibility to keep my contact details on Campus Connect up-to-date throughout my time at the College and that the College may be required to provide this information to the UKVI. I understand that failure to keep my contact details up-to-date may result in Royal Holloway reporting this to UKVI who will cancel my visa, meaning I would be required to leave the UK and my record with the College being closed.

By completing this declaration I understand and confirm that I am giving consent to Royal Holloway to contact UKVI to discuss my immigration status in the UK as part of our obligations as a Tier 4 licence sponsor.

I understand and declare that my residency information is correct and accept the tuition fee this makes me liable for. I understand that if I am found to have withheld residency information the College reserves the right to amend my tuition fee liability accordingly and require payment of any unpaid fees. I understand that by completing Online Sign-up I am agreeing to my fee liability and I am unable to appeal this in the future.

I accept and understand that upon completing Online Sign-up I will be personally responsible for the payment of my tuition fees, including any amounts that sponsors or other third parties fail to pay on my behalf. In addition, I understand that if I withdraw from the College and my fees were not paid in full at the start of the academic year, I may have an outstanding, personal fee liability payable as set out in the Student Fee Regulations.

I understand that the main method of communicating with me will be through both my Royal Holloway email account and Campus Connect though I may also be contacted at my personal email address with important information about my studies. I agree to manage my Royal Holloway email account appropriately, check my email account at least once every day and respond promptly to College communications through these media. I agree to ensure my contact details are up-to-date on Campus Connect during my time at the College and for nine months afterwards, to allow the College to send official documentation to me when required.

I understand and accept that the College and all parties acting on behalf of the College will process personal data about me which I have submitted during the Online Sign-up process as well as other data that the College may obtain about me for any relevant purpose (any purpose connected with my studies, my health and safety, and for any other legitimate reason). This processing may include disclosure of data to third parties acting on behalf of, or delivering services to, the College.

I understand that my data will be processed in accordance with the College’s student data collection notice, the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

I authorise the College to issue information about my progress, including but not limited to, my course results, academic progress and attendance, to my employer or sponsor if my employer or sponsor so requests. I agree to all my work written at the institution being processed and stored by any third party Plagiarism Detection Service as appointed by the College.

I understand that information will be provided to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA) for use in statistical analysis, UKVI, government education departments and equality and diversity departments (UCAS/Student Finance/Office for Fair Access), local councils for electoral registration, funding councils, research councils, the National Student Survey, PTES, PRES and other authorised users of the data. The data will be anonymised where appropriate. Anonymised HESA data may be shared with third parties for statistical and research purposes, as well as assisting audit claims to public funding bodies to detect and prevent fraud. Personal information will not normally be released in any other cases except, for example, in the interest of health and safety or criminal investigation. HESA adhere to the regulations of the GDPR framework.

All Research Students enrolling at the College must agree to the College’s Intellectual Property policy and Exploitation of Inventions and Patents Code of Practice on the College website.
